Social Media Netiquette

Südzucker Group companies and divisions operate a number of channels on popular social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn or TikTok. The goal of these pages is to provide information about the companies of the Südzucker Group and our products, to communicate with interested users, fans and followers, and to promote the exchange and discussion of exciting topics from our industries.

We appreciate the exchange and conversation with you on these platforms. As in face-to-face interactions, we value respectful interaction in the digital world and expect it to be objective, constructive, fair, tolerant, open and transparent. Therefore, we ask all users to always adhere to our netiquette when posting, commenting, and discussing on our social media sites.

Our guidelines for posting comments on our channels:

  • Please stick to the topic of the post. If you have a question about another topic, a general question, or any other comment, please use the direct contact options (details in profile, direct message, etc.).
  • Treat others as you want to be treated: be polite, respectful, objective and constructive. Avoid accusations, suspicions, and unproven allegations. Do not share unverified information.
  • Do not be provoked by other users, and remain calm even in emotional discussions.
  • Please cite sources correctly and respect copyright laws (e.g. when posting images).
  • Respect privacy and personal rights; do not share private or sensitive information.
  • Do not post any content that is promotional or contains commercial messages.
  • Do not post political solicitations for campaigns, rallies, etc.
     

We will not tolerate:

  • Any type of prohibited or criminally relevant content
  • Insults and personal attacks
  • Incitement to hatred and hate messages, discriminatory, defamatory, xenophobic, racist, anti-Semitic, demagogic, fundamentalist, homophobic / transphobic or sexist statements
  • Pornographic content, obscenities
  • Threats and/or incitement to violence against third parties (persons, institutions, companies), glorification of violence
  • Business damaging allegations, unproven theories and/or suspicions
  • Automatically generated posts by bots or automated campaigns
  • Content that violates the rights of third parties, in particular the right to privacy, the protection of personal data and/or copyright
  • Posts that violate the terms and conditions of the respective platform; spam


Procedure for dealing with infringements:

Generally, the following applies: Users of our social media sites are responsible for the posts they publish. If posts or content violate our netiquette as described above, we will notify the author in a comment and ask them to change or delete the post immediately. If this is not done promptly, within 24 hours at most, after the author has been warned, we reserve the right to hide or delete the post in question. Depending on the severity of the violation, or if a post contains prohibited or criminal content, we reserve the right to delete it immediately and/or take legal action. We also reserve the right to report the incident to the relevant social media platform. We also reserve the right to block or ban users in the event of serious offences or repeated breaches of our netiquette.
